The BFG and Matilda were published in in the US and the UK the same year, as far as I can tell. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was published in the US *before* it was pub'd in the UK, so it wouldn't count. Interestingly, I think of C&tCF as an American book. Maybe because it feels like it's set in NY?Alysa Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03705870547401762370noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-183222708163641034.post-15478214400389712852015-03-25T17:39:20.040-07:002015-03-25T17:39:20.040-07:00Do the Roald Dalh books count?Do the Roald Dalh books count?Cryshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08093625438383031052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-183222708163641034.post-10202984860644933132015-03-10T20:20:59.298-07:002015-03-10T20:20:59.298-07:00Excellent! The books are Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, and Emerald Green. I read and loved a series by Australian poet Alison Croggon, the Books of Pellinor---The Naming, The Riddle, The Crow, and The Singing. I ordered the fourth one from overseas because I was too impatient to wait for it to hit the U.S. :)Ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10024121070870679876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-183222708163641034.post-85273581202463427872015-03-06T05:46:15.507-08:002015-03-06T05:46:15.507-08:00Of course!!
